What You'll Be Doing...

We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and technically proficient Business Intelligence Manager to join our Local Marketing HQ Strategy BI team. Our team plays a central role in providing data, insights, and reporting solutions that shape Trenton and segment strategies (Latino, Military etc.), assess local and national promo effectiveness, and drive Mobile and Home Convergence initiatives.

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing analytics and reporting solutions that measure and enhance these pillars to support acquisition and revenue growth. Additionally, you will act as a center of excellence for data gathering across Verizon's established platforms, including ThoughtSpot, GCP, EDW, and third-party platforms such as ThinkCX, Meta, and Census.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing data capabilities and analytical solutions to shape Trenton's strategy, support business case development, analyze competitive intelligence, and evaluate local/national promotions.

  • Monitoring and assessing the performance of acquisition initiatives, such as the National Growth Pricing Offer, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Owning market-level intelligence and analysis frameworks, analyzing data trends and opportunities while collaborating with six market teams to determine "where to play" and "how to play" in addressing acquisition challenges unique to each market.

  • Creating and enhancing self-service platforms (e.g., scorecards, dashboards) to ensure centralized data availability, enable ad-hoc analysis, and provide a holistic view of internal and external performance.

  • Collaborating with data engineering and IT teams to maintain data integrity, simplify data processes, and ensure data availability for analytics purposes.

What We're Looking For...

You are a team player who enjoys problem-solving, ideating, and translating insights into models and reports that cohesively tell a data-driven story. You thrive in cross-functional collaboration, can navigate complex organizational structures, identify key stakeholders, and balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

You'll Need to Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation using SQL, GCP BigQuery, Python, or other relevant programming languages.

  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Excel, Qlik) to effectively communicate complex findings.

Even Better If You Have:

  • An MBA, Master's, or an advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.

  • Experience with Home/Fios database and reporting (a strong plus).

  • The ability to analyze diverse data sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive landscape, risks, and opportunities.

  • Strong ability to conduct daily ad-hoc analysis, requiring fast-paced thinking, analytics, and presentation skills with impeccable attention to detail.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.
