We are pleased to present the following position for your consideration: Overview: Director, Access to Care This full-time position on Heritage Behavioral Health Center's leadership team provides clinical services, training and staff development, coordination and managerial oversight to clinical programs providing mental health and substance use assessments in our open access department, crisis response call center, on-site and community mobile crisis intervention response, and peer crisis respite. Heritage responds to individuals seeking help with depression, anxiety, substance use, and/or other distressing symptoms, by providing a supportive response, counseling, and linkage to ongoing supportive services. The program will provide a supportive response to anyone, anytime, and anywhere, seeking assistance. Core Responsibilities Include:
- Provides supervision and oversight to the Program Managers of crisis services and access to care services.
- 24/7 Crisis Response Call Center
- Open Access (Screening and Assessment)
- Behavioral Health Urgent Care
- 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team
- 24/7 The Living Room (Crisis Respite)
- Engage in direct client care as needed to support the team, lead by example, and ensure continuity of services during high-demand periods or staffing shortages
- Collaborate with Program Managers of crisis services and access to care services to optimize workflows in the access to care programs to ensure timely and quality access to care implementing the vision of providing a caring contact, engagement, same day treatment, and referral and linkages
- Develop expertise in program requirements in Mobile Crisis Response and Crisis And Referral Entry Service (CARES), The Living Room model, and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC)
- Ensure that all clinical activities performed by the teams are compliant with standards, policies and procedures of the organization, Rule 132/140, SUPR 2060/2090, and CCBHC, and other standards set forth by funders
- Operationalize programs that provide quality treatment services and fiscally sustainable model
- Monitor program staffing needs and participate in hiring and orientation of new staff
- Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources and community providers
- Maintain and/or optimize collaboration processes with internal and external providers regarding treatment coordination
- Provide training for a wide array of clinical services including assessment, crisis counseling, case management, and discharge planning
- Participate in clinical case reviews, community events, forums, state crisis system of care learning community which will at a minimum include monthly meetings
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to engage individuals in behavioral health treatment
- Ability to lead access to care programs with 24/7/365 operations
- Ability to provide flexible services as they present and/or scheduled
- Knowledge of behavioral health diagnoses and use of the DSM-5
- Knowledge of community resources including psychiatric, substance use, medical, and/or other community services
- Ability to work as a team player and collaborate with internal and community partners
- Ability to tolerate ambiguity, uncertainty, and change
- Ability to navigate electronic health records and train team members
- Demonstrated above average computer skills and ability to learn and train in the electronic health record
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant human service field and
- Credential licensed as a LPC, LSW, LCPC, LCSW, LFMFT, or the ability to obtain clinical licensure in the State of Ilinois within 12 months is required
- Ideal candidate is a LPHA (LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT) to provide clinical supervision to clinical staff in the program
- Previous experience required in providing crisis services, clinical and administrative supervision
- A valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of automobile insurance coverage are required
Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year Heritage also offers the following with this position:
