We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Sr Sales Coordinator II on our Marketing & Membership Experience team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.

As a key part of the Marketing & Membership Experience team, this role is responsible for prospecting, lead qualification, nurturing relationships and scheduling high-value meetings from the healthcare audience the AMA has cultivated. As the first point of contact in our sales pipeline, this role will support the MMX sales team in expanding AMA's physician group membership by building strong relationships with health systems and medical groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development Support and Lead Generations

  • Qualify and nurture inbound leads from marketing campaigns, convert them into sales opportunities, and seamlessly transition them to Sr. Account Executive for further engagement
  • Contact new prospects via warm and cold calls, emails, virtual and in-person networking; identify prospective groups' needs/challenges and communicate AMA's group membership value proposition to health system and medical group leaders; build trusting relationships
  • Maintain a proactive approach to sourcing new leads and expanding the prospect pipeline
  • Consistently meet and exceed activity goals (emails, calls, meetings) to drive pipeline growth
  • Stay up to date with healthcare industry trends, topics and emerging opportunities to better position AMA's offerings

Business Operations

  • Support MMX group membership sales team through research of market trends and challenges, development of targeted group contacts; collaborate on call messaging to drive opportunities for new business, leverage best practices to optimize communications
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to ensure seamless integration of Marketing Qualified and Sales Qualified Leads into Salesforce
  • Diligently track and log all prospect interactions in Salesforce to pre-qualify prospect groups, maintain oversight on new lead lists and track opportunities, ensuring accurate reporting and sales funnel optimization
  • Attend internal MMX team meetings and individual meetings with manager weekly to share insights and align sales efforts

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business related discipline. Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus
  2. 3+ years experience working in marketing or sales related field with some business-to-business prospecting email/phone experience. Salesforce or other CRM experience is a plus
  3. Proven track record in meeting goals and showing results
  4. Ability to interact with external stakeholders using excellent written and verbal communication skills
  5. Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to be detailed
  6. Ability to work independently while demonstrating resourcefulness, coachability, and results driven attitude

This role is a non-exempt position and the hourly range for this position is $28.77 - $38.18. This is the lowest to highest rate we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
