Assistant Professor of Business Management - WVU Tech (Beckley)

West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), part of the WVU system of campuses located in Beckley, WV, is currently inviting applications and nominations for the following employment opportunity:

The Department of Accounting and Management in the School of Business invites applications for a nine month, full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor of Management position to begin in August 2025.

Responsibilities include teaching 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester in various management courses, along with other duties commensurate with a teaching position. The department is particularly interested in applicants with expertise in micro- and macro-organizational theories, including courses such as Introduction to Business, Principles of Management, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, International Business, Strategic Management, Supply Chain Management, and/or Entrepreneurship and Marketing. The position requires course delivery in both in-person and online formats using Blackboard and adherence to Quality Matters Standards. Additional responsibilities include student advising, recruitment, retention, curriculum assessment, involvement with student organizations, and other faculty-related duties.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

A Master's in Business Administration or an equivalent degree is required. A Doctorate in Management or a related field-or ABD with completion by May 2025-is preferred. Evidence of scholarly promise, excellent communication skills, and a student-centered philosophy is essential. Experience in college-level teaching and active use of technology is highly desirable.
