Senior IT Helpdesk Analyst

Overview

VTG is seeking a Senior IT Helpdesk Specialist to provide on-site IT support to our Navy customer at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. This is an onsite role. The Senior IT Helpdesk Specialist will be expected to understand IT Helpdesk responsibilities, have the ability to lead their own projects from start to finish, and brief senior leadership on upcoming projects.


What will you do?

  • Assist users with documenting NMCI computer issues and contacting NMCI Helpdesk for ticket creation
  • Provide telecommunications (iPhone/iPad) support to SEA 05 user base
  • Assist users with setup and installation of hardware
  • Maintain accurate NMCI asset inventory for SEA 05
  • Organize and maintain hardware inventory for SEA 05
  • Assist ACIO with data call inputs
  • Develop strategies to execute hardware upgrade projects
  • Assist ACIO in setting up meetings, preparing agenda and slides, capture minutes
  • Asset and service management, account creation and assigning user permissions
  • Identify procedural inefficiencies and obstacles, and develop strategies to improve and streamline
  • Clearly articulate issues and provide resolution recommendations
  • Other duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

Required skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience dealing with NMCI and Navy systems
  • 5+ years professional work experience
  • Moderate to strong Microsoft Suite skills
  • Must have ability to receive and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Proactive and excellent customer service
  • Attention to detail

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $60,000-$80,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
