Working within our Service Business Line, the Business Development Manager will play a mission-critical role in the customer transformation journey. This position is responsible to lead an effort to unlock our full potential, driving strategic priorities with individual creativity. You will be part of a dedicated team of business development professionals, fostering a collaborative environment where innovative ideas and problem-solving are celebrated. With a primary focus on sales and business development, this role ensures alignment with our motor vehicle and general industry sales channels to support the proposal, delivery, and execution of profitable services, while creating unique value and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: * Transform the US & CA service market to the right level per customer by working through our MVI/GIN sales channel to realize our full potential as a total solutions provider. * Motivate and inspire MVI and GIN desire to sell SCE solutions at every stage of the customer journey from project planning and installation to optimization and product end-of-life. * Support, streamline, and enhance the RFQ process to enable MVI/GIN sales to deliver complete, accurate proposals that support the quotation and delivery of profitable services. * Champion the service sales strategy by clearly defining proactive service, articulating value propositions, quantifying customer ROI, and demonstrating effective value-based selling. * Standardize service quote and contract language to ensure profitable and executable agreements that meet or exceed customer expectations, while driving strategies to secure these standards across all service agreements. * Create, implement, and execute companywide strategies that challenge the status quo, create customer value, secure price increases, optimize our scope, and secure win/win customer agreements with strong business case justification. * Drive actions to improve our existing service agreements in which Operations has identified sell price, terms, conditions, or other external factors that inhibit our financial success with sound justification to do so. * Build collaborative, trust-based relationships within SCE BL and other ACTA departments that foster functional teamwork and mutual success such that you all genuinely do the right things to contribute to each other's success. This role requires bold thinking, strategic innovation, and a commitment to driving excellence in service delivery and customer satisfaction. By realizing this mission you will ensure we increase customer loyalty, create and protect customer value, and achieve sustainable profitable growth. You will work within our US Customer Center as a remote employee. To succeed, you will need * Bachelor's degree in a technical or management field with 4+ years of management experience; or an equivalent record demonstrating leadership. * Demonstrated success in a similar sales/business development/customer management/marketing role with a proven track record of driving performance and achieving results. * Exceptional leadership, management, and team-building skills to motivate and align diverse teams. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and drive innovation. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. * Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, plan effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure. * Comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. * Experience with manufacturing technologies, service solutions, and IT technologies is preferred but not required. * Frequent travel as needed to realize the mission (approx. 50% maximum).
