Overview

CAES by Honeywell is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team in supporting the preparation and management of high-stakes proposals within the defense, radar, and space sectors. As an intern, you will play a key role in streamlining workflows, cleaning up proposal templates, and helping us analyze budgets to ensure we meet critical deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Template Cleanup & Standardization:

    • Assist in organizing and updating proposal templates to ensure consistency and alignment with company standards.
    • Review existing templates for outdated information, missing sections, and formatting issues.
    • Recommend improvements to optimize template usability and effectiveness.
  • Proposal Review Scheduling & Coordination:

    • Help schedule and coordinate internal proposal review meetings with key stakeholders.
    • Track deadlines and ensure reviews are completed on time by all parties.
    • Support the preparation of review materials and assist in gathering feedback.
  • Bid & Proposal Budget Analysis:

    • Assist in analyzing bid and proposal budgets to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
    • Track expenses and provide support in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Collaborate with proposal managers to help develop accurate financial estimates for new bids.
  • Workflow Streamlining & Process Optimization:

    • Help identify bottlenecks in proposal development and suggest solutions to streamline workflows.
    • Support the documentation and tracking of processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
    • Assist in setting up and maintaining project management tools for tracking proposal progress.
  • Proposal Document Support:

    • Provide general support in the preparation and formatting of proposal documents.
    • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and submission requirements.
    • Help in organizing proposal libraries and ensuring easy access to historical materials.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the proposal management team, technical writers, business development teams, and subject matter experts.
    • Gain exposure to various aspects of the proposal lifecycle, including strategy, content development, and submission.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum GPA of 2.8

Preferred:

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of project management tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in the defense, radar, or space sectors is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis & management, system design, analysis & management, computer science, data science and business analytics, database administrator or other related fields

Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (San Diego)

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
