What You'll Do

As an intern, you'll gain real-world experience in market research and data analysis while contributing to the Y's mission. You will:

Conduct internet searches and competitive research to gather valuable insights.

Learn how to analyze and transform data into actionable recommendations.

Work with industry tools like SurveyMonkey, Listen360, Google Sheets, and Excel.

Gain exposure to executive leadership and networking opportunities within a nonprofit setting.

Internship Details:

Duration: Minimum 8 weeks

Hours: 10+ hours per week (schedule determined with Internship Supervisor; remote flexibility available)

Location: Primarily based at the Cummings Center - YMCA Association Headquarters in Beverly, MA

Compensation: $15/hr

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school or university or seeking experience in a related field of study to be eligible for an internship.
  • Strong computer and technology skills are required, particularly proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Some educational institutions require prior approval before starting an internship. It is the student's responsibility to verify and meet any institutional requirements before accepting a position.
  • All interns must complete and submit an application to be considered, including a background check if selected for the role.
  • Interns must collaborate with a Y supervisor to complete and submit an internship learning agreement to the Director of Operations or Executive Director and the HR Office.
  • Interns may only participate in one internship (paid or unpaid) within the YNS organization at a time. Requests for consecutive internships will be reviewed by internship managers.
