The Global Large Law Firm Senior Client Executive is responsible for collaborating with a sales team that will nurture opportunities and move our most complex renewals to close, both for existing 'non-named' account renewals and incremental sales (upsell).

About the Role:

In this opportunity as a Senior Client Executive, you will:

  • Be expected to exceed sales and retention targets

  • Customer Engagement: On average,hold 10 virtual and in-person strategic appointments per week, driving high value for the customer and highimpactfor TR

  • Hold and lead quarterly business reviews with key stakeholdersto understand 1) The firm's overall strategy and specifically the firm's technology strategy, including regarding a Legal AI-assistant; 2) Identify where TR supports the strategies today (value proof points) and gaps that TR can help solve; and 3) Creating a joint action plan with the customer to execute on resolutions. Business reviews are scheduled at the beginning of the year as recurring quarterly and the SCE is setting the agenda, preparing the foundational information for the review and coordinating who needs to attend

  • Reach: rowUniqueStrategic Connections (director and attorney) within your customer base, targeting 10 net new per quarter, including identifying and orchestrating in-firm workshops or speed sessions

  • Engage with Customer Success Team regularlyfor each accountto understand on-boarding strategy, continued product adoption and growth opportunities to feed into quarterly business reviews and sales process

  • Messaging:Create, own and evolve your TR holistic messaging to generate qualified opportunities

  • Predict risk, create and execute on mitigation plan

About You:

You're a fit for the Senior Client Executive role if your background includes:

  • Thriving in a fast paced environment, focused on impactful customer interactions

  • 5-7 years' experience with successful sales in Business-to-Business marketplace

  • Sales/Client Retention experience, preferably in the legal market

Our ideal candidate will also possess:

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of products and services for the Global Large Law/Large Law Channel. Strong understanding of the market and become a thought leader in this space

  • A strong understanding of the law firm's overall business; ability to listen effectively and obtain necessary information on law firms and create/maintain strategic connections with clients

  • Ability to utilize appropriate interpersonal styles to establish effective relationships with employees, customers and internal partners; interacts with others in a way that promotes openness and trust and gives them confidence in one's intentions

  • Strong negotiation skills by effectively exploring alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $143,500 - $266,500.
This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
