Position Summary


We are seeking a qualified Land Acquisition Specialist to join our Richmond American Homes team. In this position you will play a key role in underwriting the purchases of new communities for Richmond American Homes.

The Land Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in the Company's land functions and assist in evaluating land acquisition opportunities.

Responsibilities

    Coordinate and conduct the technical and financial feasibility analysis of acquisition opportunities.
  • Obtain and analyze Due Diligence materials for project feasibility.
  • Assist managers in the preparation of corporate land acquisition approval packages.
  • Support and assist with entitlement/zoning documents.
  • Conduct research to assist managers in determining project timelines and schedules.
  • Conduct general research in selected jurisdictions and solo-markets to facilitate the identification of land opportunities.
  • Perform various administrative tasks to assist in the land acquisition process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, real estate, business or related field.
  • The candidate will possess good human relations/interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work well with all levels of management.

  • Good negotiation skills.

  • Great planning and organizing ability. Skills in exercising and completing initiatives, problem-solving, and sound decision making.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-End Discretionary
