Job Requisition: Power BI, Tableau, and MS Power App Software Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Power BI / Tableau / Microsoft Power App Software Developer with good people skills. The candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and managing Power BI and Tableau dashboards and reports and MS Power Applications. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain applications that meet user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze requirements, define Key Performance Indicators, identify data sources, and translate them into meaningful reports
- Design and develop interactive Power BI and Tableau reports and dashboards that provide data visualizations, integrating data from a variety of sources (e.g. SAP, Excel, etc.)
- Develop applications with Microsoft Power Apps to meet business requirements and streamline processes
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reporting solutions
- Ensure applications are efficient, scalable, and offer a user-friendly experience.
- Optimize reports for performance, ensuring data is refreshed quickly
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance and report functionality
- Maintain, update, and support applications to ensure optimal performance
- Develop basic user guides
- Provide training sessions and tutoring to persons with no programming experience for basic Power BI
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate
- Business knowledge to understand what reports are showing (e.g. schedules, cost)
- Proven experience in developing Power BI and Tableau reports and dashboards (2+years preferred)
- Proficiency and prior experience in application development using Microsoft Power Apps (2+ years preferred)
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Tableau
- Experience with SAP
- Familiarity with MS SharePoint environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and performance optimization
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams to gather input, take feedback, and present status to multiple customers
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong eye for detail to ensure the accuracy of reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in Power BI or other relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate)
- Background in integrating Power Apps with other Microsoft services (e.g., SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Office 365)
- Open to US Citizen, US Person candidate
