Overview

VTG is seeking an Technical Director in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.


What will you do?

  • Provide Team Leadership and Collaboration, Information Technology (IT) Project Planning, Stakeholder Management, Risk Management, Budget and Resource Management, Risk Management, IT Mission Strategy Alignment, Quality Assurance, and provide holistic C2 (Command and Control) Subject Matter Expertise (SME).
  • Coordinates the integration and modernization requirements of the full range of technologies in support of COMPACFLT operations and exercises. Includes, but is not limited to, RADIANT MERCURY, Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J), Global Command and Control System - Maritime (GCCS-M), Automatic Identification System (AIS), Link Monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT), MOC in the Middle (MITM), Maritime Tactical Command & Control (MTC2), Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), Web-Enabled Scheduling System (WEBSKED), and MTC2 Deployment Scheduler (DEPSKED).
  • Performs research and provides technical information to the MOC DFC Director, Fleet Command Center (FCC) Technical Director and Fleet JICO/JDNO regarding current and upcoming Data Fusion and Common Operational Picture (COP) sharing technologies.
  • Participates in conferences and technical demonstrations. Develops reports for the FCC Technical Director and MOC DFC Director as required.
  • Advises on planning and management of the maritime joint data network within the Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) Theater of operations.
  • Advise DFC Director and Fleet Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) / Joint Data Network Operations Officer (JDNO) on viability and implications of Operations Tempo (OPTEMPO) upon the C2 systems.
  • Identify requirements for multi-Tactical Data Link (TDL) related architecture to communication planners.
  • Identifies multi-TDL interoperability requirements.
  • Participates in the planning efforts for the placement and integration of strategic data link nodes.
  • Plans for and coordinates the integration and interoperability of intelligence support systems a national through tactical levels.
  • Coordinate Radiant Mercury (RADMERC) Data Owners Guide (DOG) configuration changes.
  • Research maritime JDN architectures and provide efficiency recommendations to the MOC DFC Director and JICO/JDNO.
  • Coordinates COP/JDN/TDL modernization upgrade tracking and upgrades within Program Executive Office (PEO) process. Provide impact assessments of impending Fleet/MOC technology upgrades to operations.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Current Final/Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Current Sec+, CISSP or equivalent
  • Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF)
  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems (MIS), Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in Information Technology (IT), systems and networking.
  • Navy IT or Operation Specialist (OS) experience.
  • Experience with C2 Systems utilized in the DFC/JDN environment
  • Experience with management of IT systems infrastructure and related processes.
  • Experience with Navy procurement.
  • Experience with MS Office Products and other software such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $125,000-190,000, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
