Job Title: Maintenance Janitor

Summary As part of the Facilities Maintenance team, the maintenance janitor will assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring clean and orderly conditions are maintained in production areas.

Starting Wage: $19.00

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At ANBM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Operates industrial fork-lift to transport waste materials within plant.
  • Operates industrial waste compactors and performs equipment inspection.
  • Empties and maintains all industrial hoppers in facility.
  • Coordinates with supervisor and or contractors to schedule all waste pick-ups.
  • Picks up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers.
  • Wipes and or power washes operating equipment.
  • Brushes, sweeps and or shovel debris around work areas as needed.
  • Apply principles of 5S to assigned areas so everything is organized, clean, and safe.
  • Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.

Education and/or Experience



  • Able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English to convey information effectively so others will understand. Must be able to read, understand, and follow all safety instructions.
  • A minimum of 1 year driving a fork-lift truck is desired. Must be able to become forklift certified within our environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safety, health, and environment protection practices within the workplace.
  • Able to consistently meet job attendance requirements.



Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Bump caps, steel toe safety shoes, and safety glasses are required in all production areas. Hearing protection is encouraged and may be required in specific areas.

Physical Demands




  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.
  • Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
  • Jobs on the production floor require a minimum 40-hour work week. Overtime may be required.
  • The pace of work is steady and fast.
  • Employees are regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • This position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.
