Role Description & Responsibilities

Our Dassault Systemes Product Management team is excited to announce we have a hybrid internship opportunity available in our Waltham, MA office!

The Product Management team at SOLIDWORKS supports developing and enhancing 2D CAD solutions in the AEC industry. The intern will assist in gathering market research, analyzing customer feedback, and contributing to product development. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure the product meets user needs and market demands.

• Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Research market trends, user needs, and competitive offerings in the 2D CAD space. Analyze competitor products and identify key differentiators and opportunities for our software.
• User Feedback Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing user feedback from various sources (e.g., surveys, user interviews, support tickets). Identify key pain points and opportunities for improvement.
• Product Documentation: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of product documentation, including user stories, feature specifications, and competitive analysis reports.
• Requirements Gathering: Translate user needs and market trends into actionable product requirements. Help define and prioritize features for future releases.
• Testing: Participate in software testing to ensure quality and identify potential bugs.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Technical Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, and R&D, to ensure alignment on product vision and strategy.
• Special Projects: Contribute to other product-related projects as assigned, including analyzing usage data, creating presentations, or assisting with product demos (Camtasia).

You will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in ensuring that users have the information and resources they need to effectively utilize our software products and achieve their goals. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a AEC Product Manager Intern with skills in the following areas:

• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges related to natural language understanding, dialog management, and user interaction.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, gather requirements from stakeholders, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Creativity: Ability to think creatively and explore innovative approaches to enhance the chatbot's capabilities and user experience.
• Self-Motivation and Learning Agility: Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and methodologies, as well as the ability to work independently and adapt to evolving project requirement

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business.
• Strong interest in product management and the software industry, particularly in the CAD domain.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, DraftSight, SW, CATIA) is a plus.
• Experience with user research methodologies is a plus.

This is an onsite role at our Dassault Systemes Waltham, MA location; no remote or offsite permitted

Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $20 - $40 per hour.
