Position Title: Hose Bonding & Assembly Wage: $18.00/Hour Shifts: 2nd Shift Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Monday - Friday QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Hose Bonding & Assembly at a company in Manitowoc WI. Hose Bonding & Assembly Responsibilities: - Sets up and operates hose welder and bonding equipment, hose re-spool equipment and assembly equipment according to engineering specifications; performs quality testing where required - Determines appropriate feeds and temperature settings for proper welds and cutoffs. Determines appropriate changeover of tooling in ensuring proper dimensions according to specifications - Must use judgement and make decisions for appropriate feeds and temperature settings to achieve proper welds and cutoffs - Documents, logs, compiles reports as required and/or requested - Monitors machines and process, reporting irregularities to VSTL for problem identification and resolution - Utilize test equipment to ensure quality in the Department - Accountable for process, evaluation, measurement, documentation, and improvement on a continual basis to meet plant business objectives - Participate in High Performance Teams, or other area and process team projects/activities, in order to identify, assess, decide and action tasks that support and improve upon safe, quality and timely production - Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Leader Requirements for Hose Bonding & Assembly: - HS diploma or GED required - Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment preferred - United States residency - Mathematical aptitude and proficiency - Keyboarding skills, with some knowledge of MS Office software - Ability to operate manual and electric jack; Company will train - Measurement skills, including use of precision measuring tools and equipment - Ability to read blueprints and set-up sheets - Attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot for process and product improvement - Effective English verbal communication and listening skills - Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure - Successful prioritizing and management of work projects - Extended periods of sitting/standing at work station - Grasping, reaching, stretching, eye/hand coordination, climbing - Visual acuity - Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Frequent lifting/moving of objects up to 30 Lbs., occasional lifting/moving of objects up to 50 lbs. - Manufacturing plant - Exposure to moving parts on line, as well as moving equipment throughout the plant QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
