Working Title: Director, Global Business Solutions

Position Overview

As the Director of Global Business Solutions for Sales Tools at Insight, you'll be at the forefront of driving our sales technology strategy. You'll build strong relationships with sales leaders and key partners globally, ensuring our technology solutions align with business goals to drive growth and enhance partnerships. Your role will involve developing comprehensive plans to leverage our toolsets, maintaining an accurate, secure IT landscape, and staying ahead of industry trends to integrate new technologies that improve sales processes.

You'll lead and inspire high-performing global teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. By developing and executing the IT solutions strategy for sales tools, you'll ensure our platforms are user-friendly, scalable, and integrated with other business systems. Your ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be crucial as you lead cross-functional teams in delivering projects on time and within budget.

What you'll do at Insight

  • Initiate, develop, and nurture strong, trusted advisor relationships with sales leaders, key partners, technology leaders, and stakeholder groups globally. Collaborate with department leaders to understand business goals and establish shared objectives and action plans to achieve those outcomes.
  • Collaborate with leaders across Insight globally to understand business objectives and critical outcomes. Develop an overall plan and strategies to leverage our toolsets in order to meet these objectives and deliver a return on investment.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure teams to maintain an accurate picture of our IT landscape including trends in capacity, utilization, opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and maintain high-performing global teams by recruiting top talent, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, and promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement and technological proficiency.
  • Develop and execute the IT strategy and roadmap for sales tool initiatives.
  • Align technology solutions with business goals to drive sales growth and enhance partnership effectiveness.
  • Establish and monitor strategic objectives, key metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of sales tools technologies and teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and other support organizations to implement changes to tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of sales tools and platforms.
  • Ensure tools are user-friendly, scalable, secure and integrated with other business systems.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify and implement joint technology solutions that enhance mutual business outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve sales processes and partnership capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT, sales, and stakeholder teams.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of IT projects related to sales tooling.
  • Create, manage, and monitor annual budget and expenses, globally, for core teams related to the sales tools tower, and programs within your purview.
  • Continuously review and optimize our service and hardware contracts. Regularly assess our capital and expense budgets to ensure we are maximizing the value of our expenditures.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or performance.
  • Manage and assess risks by implementing robust risk management frameworks, conducting regular audits, and ensuring compliance with internal audit requirements resulting in zero deficiencies.
  • Must be numbers-oriented and results-driven, demonstrating resourcefulness in gathering knowledge, problem-solving, and completing tasks.

What you'll need to join Insight

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with 8-10 years in a high-tech or service-related industry, and 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing strategic roadmaps for sales tooling and integrating IT solutions with sales processes.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both technical and executive forums. Ability to analyze complex and diverse information and create clear, effective presentations and reports.
  • Demonstrate executive presence by effectively handling ambiguity and showing resilience in managing setbacks and challenges, while consistently exhibiting confidence, decisiveness, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity to ensure robust and secure IT Sales toolsets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in inspiring and managing high-performing teams with strong leadership abilities, clearly articulating IT strategies and solutions with excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with global stakeholders at all levels, while making fact-based decisions and managing appropriate expectations.
  • Experience in a globally diverse environment. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, handle pressure, and make day-to-day decisions.

Desirable

  • Master's degree or MBA, enhancing strategic and managerial capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales processes, leveraging tool such as Customer Relationship management (CRM), Professional Services Automation (PSA), Contract lifecycle Management (CLM), Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and sales analytics to effectively support and enhance sales functions.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) to demonstrate expertise in solutions management.
  • Sales-related tool set certifications (e.g., Salesforce, GitHub) to support sales technology integration.
  • Deep understanding and experience within the specific industry in which Insight operates, ensuring relevant and effective IT solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant global regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
