Overview

The Q-SYS Training Manager conducts regularly scheduled Q-SYS classroom trainings, primarily online facilitated in the Costa Mesa Remote Training Room, but also virtually from their home office and in-person in the Costa Mesa Experience Center. Training Manager conducts all levels of Q-SYS Training courses including Q-SYS Level Two, Control & UCI Intermediate and Advanced, and future offerings. Training Manager is responsible for managing roster signups and communication with their students. Also provides technical review of Q-SYS exit exams for all curriculum, and participates in one-on-one Office Hours review sessions with students.

Base Pay Range 100,000-130,000

The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans and generous time off.



Responsibilities

    Q-SYS Curriculum Instruction: Conduct full classroom trainings for our integrator/programmer/end-user community, primarily but not limited to Q-SYS Level Two online curriculum and Control & UCI Training Series, via Remote Training facility and in support of Costa Mesa Experience Center.
  • Q-SYS Training Design Validation and Consultation: Review final design submissions for Q-SYS online and in-classroom training events, requiring intricate subjective understanding of Q-SYS systems and its open architecture format, in order to certify students globally in Q-SYS Level One, Q-SYS Level Two, Q-SYS Control & UCI Training Series, and other on-demand training courses.
  • Includes management of class rosters, communication with students, and liasing with various Q-SYS members to facilitate needs.
  • Perform "Office Hours" video consultations with Q-SYS training students to provide one-on-one training assistance, provide expert guidance and knowledge on Q-SYS systems, DSP design verification, and UCI efficiency


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in audio, DSP, engineering and/or electronics
  • At least 5 years of experience in AV&C systems
  • Firm understanding of Q-SYS Platform and Q-SYS Designer Software is mandatory (Q-SYS Level 1 & Level 2, Control 101 certification minimum)
  • Other manufacturer certification is a plus (Crestron, AMX, Extron)
  • At least 3 years in Lua Scripting
  • Experience in an educational / instructional setting
  • At least 3 years experience in customer communication
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • High level communication skills to synthesize complex product & AV&C related concepts from many different knowledge sources into simple, consumable training materials
  • High level of poise and composure in delivering training on-camera and to live classes
