The Opportunity

Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, collaborating with versatile professionals to successfully implement and optimize innovative ML models.

What you'll Do

  • Experiment, design, and develop ML models to solve business use cases that can handle data of varying modality at scale.
  • Architect and optimize end-to-end ML pipelines, ensuring scalability, testability, efficiency, observability, robustness.
  • Understand data and schema to make recommendations for the right models, evaluation metrics, and governance approaches.
  • Engage in product lifecycle - architecture, design, deployment, and production operations of ML models and systems.
  • Evaluate the performance of AI models and systems through rigorous testing, experimentation, and benchmarking.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-organization engineering teams, data scientists, and AI/ML researchers to evolve our SaaS architecture as we productize new AI-powered capabilities.
  • Lead small team of junior and mid-level ML engineers and data scientists to deliver enterprise ML projects and features.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning research, and proactively suggest improvements to improve our generative AI capabilities.

What you need to succeed

  • PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer with a track record of successfully delivering machine learning projects to customers.
  • 2+ years of strong hands-on experience working on generative AI technology such as LLM, evals, LLM-as-a-judge, fine-tuning, etc.
  • Strong Python and deep learning engineering skills and experience with one or more training or deployment environments (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, JAX, Ray).
  • Experience with LLM frameworks and tools such as HuggingFace, LangChain, PEFT, and LlamaIndex.
  • ML lifecycle tools like MLflow, Weights & Biases, etc.
  • Ability to fine-tune and deploy large-scale ML systems in a cost-optimal way.
  • Understanding of the internals of (GenAI) model architectures and its correlation with GPU, TPU, and other hardware.
  • Experience with deployment technologies such as Docker; knowledge of ML Ops and ML services is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and drive solutions with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to work in cross-functional teams.

The U.S. pay range for this positionis $162,000 -- $301,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
