The Sr. Test Engineer performs a critical function in support of this goal and the ongoing evolution of our technology and platform strategy: driving our test strategy and quality objectives forward and ensuring that programs delivered on our technology platform are delivered to the highest standards possible, upholding our critical obligations to safety, accuracy, and security for our members.

What you'll do...

  • Early participation in software initiatives to identify quality goals across both human and technology systems and processes

  • Design and coordination of validation plan and approachwithin a software delivery

  • Working with stakeholders to identify functional and non-functional quality objectives and reflect in testing plan, with measurable evidence of quality improvement across incremental software releases

  • Development of code assets using various languages & frameworks for automated test execution & status reporting

  • Gap identification and resolution in existing test plans/strategy to ensure continuous improvement of the quality practices

About you...

  • 4+ years in moderate-to-large software engineering organizations

  • 6+ years in software / platform quality assurance

  • Experience in regulated environment validation and reporting (Government, Healthcare, etc.)

  • Experience in developing custom test harnesses in common code or scripting languages (ex: Python, Javascript/Typescript, Scala, Lua, etc.) to extend functionality for complex middleware testing

  • Experience in working with functional test frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, etc.) and SaaS testing products (SmartBear products, Browserstack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, etc.)

  • Experience working with non-functional testing frameworks for scale/load testing and performance mix scenarios (ex: Gatling, Nightwatch, etc.)

  • Deep familiarity with release management models and incorporation of test evidence reports (ex: Zephyr, TestRail, etc.)

  • Preferred to have experience working with ISO quality models (ex: ISO 25010, ISO 9000)

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $145,000 - $155,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
