We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated individual looking to pursue a career in a computer science, particularly in developing Artificial Intelligence platforms. This position will be to support ongoing software application development in Dayton, OH.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist development of multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities by researching, implementing, and evaluating algorithms enabling AI models to inform users when making unconfident decisions when employed in critical information processing paths.

Develop and test methods to improve model performance when uncertain decisions occur to improve model and system performance.

Document the development and experimentation process in the form of knowledge products such as technical reports, journal, and conference proceedings.

Requirements:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or related technical discipline.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries and tools for running and evaluating AI models on graphical processing unit (GPU) accelerated hardware is required.

Familiarity with developing and running algorithms on high-performance computing environments is required.

Strong communications skills to convey details of technical progress are required.

Ability to work well in team environments.

Ability to be at Wright-Patterson AFB daily.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge and experience using scientific software to write technical publications (such as LaTeX) is strongly desired.

Proficient with version control software (Git) and software management tools: Gitlab, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.
