Radiologic Technologist I (Per Diem) #3243

Our Medical Imaging department is recruiting for a Per Diem Radiologic Tech! Schedule: As needed Weekends: As needed
Position Summary:

The Radiology Technologist will perform general diagnostic exams, including, but not limited to: fluoroscopy, tomography, surgical exams, ECGS, stress tests, tilt tables, and portable. He/she will also perform patient transportation, file room duties and secretarial functions. This position requires direct patient care to hospital in-patients, out-patients, Emergency Room and Ambulatory Care patients.

Education and Training Required:

• Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology.
• BLS certified.

• Registered by the ARRT.

• Currently licensed as a Radiographer in the State of Wisconsin.

Job Specific Duties:

• Correctly identifies each patient and reviews requisitions before performing exams
• Demonstrates knowledge of all diagnostic radiology equipment and proper usage
• Assess patient condition and safety throughout exam
• Reviews each exam for technical accuracy regarding positioning and technique
• Prepares contrast and administers to the patient under established guidelines under the direction of a physician.

• Possesses interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients and families.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Ability to use computers, fax machines, and possess proper phone skills.
