Telecare Kern Adult Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is a 16-bed acute inpatient facility for adults 18+ experiencing a mental health illness related emergency. Admission is voluntary or involuntary (5150).

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for activities and functions related to the administration of member care systems and member care in nursing areas and departments.

Shifts:

Full-Time; Monday through Friday | 8:00AM - 4:30PM, hours vary as needed

Expected starting wage range is $144,122.18 - $178,020.88. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)



  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have four (4) years of experience with two (2) in psychiatric nursing and two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; OR a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field and two (2) years of experience and one (1) year in a supervisory capacity.


o Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have four (4) years of experience with two (2) in psychiatric nursing and two (2) years in a supervisory capacity; OR a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field and two (2) years of experience and one (1) year in a supervisory capacity.

o At least one year of experience in nursing supervision within the last five (5) years

o Master's Degree in psychiatric nursing or related field with experience in administration; or

o Baccalaureate degree in nursing or related field with experience in psychiatric nursing and two (2) years of experience in nursing administration; or

o Four (4) years of experience in nursing administration or supervision and with experience in psychiatric nursing.



  • Current valid licensure as an RN in the state of operation
  • Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.


  • Preferred:
    * An MSN degree and administrative experience in long term care
