Job Description

We are seeking anEnvironmental ServicesLead at our Main Campus Locations.

Our team plays a meaningful role in providing exceptional service by ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Service is at the heart of everything we do at MSK, and we pride ourselves on the fact that each of our employees delivers a first-class experience to our patients.

AsLead, you will ensure all work performed by Environmental Services staff is consistent with supervisory directives and departmental standards and procedures. This role will primarily be based out of Koch with occasional relief support required at our outpatient sites in NYC during the day shift. Additionally, this Lead will play a crucial role in providing Waste Management support at Koch.

Role Overview:

    Oversee standardized cleaning procedures and safety guidelines, ensuring Infection Control compliance to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Ensure proper handling, containment, and disposal of general and infectious waste, including chemicals, following hospital procedures.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge in chemical handling, including mixing, usage, storage, and labeling.
  • Lead training sessions, complete project assignments, and respond to emergency requests as needed.
  • Assign tasks, adjust schedules, and provide regular updates on team progress, equipment status, and inventory to leadership.

Additional Information:

  • Location: 530 East 74th (Koch)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8am to 4p. Rotating weekends and holidays
  • Report to: Supervisor, Environmental Services
