The Oncofertility Program of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is excited to offer a dynamic opportunity for a Nurse Clinical Coordinator I to join our innovative Oncofertility Program. The Oncofertility Program is available to all patients to identify individual patient risk dependent on disease and treatment factors and offer a standard of care and experimental fertility preservation options commensurate with risk level.

This role is integral in developing and coordinating patient care, working closely with the medical director and advanced practice practitioner. As the primary point of contact for clinical teams, patients, and families, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that each patient receives personalized fertility preservation options based on their unique risk factors. Your responsibilities will include analyzing medical documentation, liaising with primary medical teams, and interfacing with external partners to schedule fertility preservation procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and their families according to established policies, procedures and standards.

  • Assist the professional staff in providing optimal care to each patient and their families.

  • Function as a resource person for patients, families and/or significant others;Re-enforce patient education as needed.

  • Serve as a liaison between the patient/ family the clinical staff and other health care professionals for information sharing.

  • Collaborate with the clinical coordinators for admissions of patients.

  • Facilitate the philosophy of the department and mission of St. Jude.

  • Comply with Nursing and hospital Policy and Procedure and Standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.

  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum requirement: 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Basic understanding of the patient care system at St. Jude.

  • Working knowledge of specialized equipment and patient education materials for the care of the pediatric oncology patient, preferred.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required :

  • (LC: RN TN) Must possess a current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license if primary residence is Tennessee or a Nurse Licensure non-Compact state.

  • (LC: RN ARK or RN Miss) Must possess a current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Oncofertility Clinical Coordinator I.
