We are seeking a Program Specialist to join the department of Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy (BMTCT) in our collaborative efforts on the immune monitoring of patient samples. Spanning both hematological and solid tumor clinical trials, the collaborative efforts of the Center for Translational Immunology and Immunotherapy (CeTI2), and the Center of Excellence for Pediatric Immuno-Oncology (CEPIO), alongside partnerships between the Departments of Immunology and Oncology, focus on characterizing and informing on the anti-tumor immune responses elicited from our cellular therapy products.
You will be responsible for gathering, organizing and disseminating information related to patient research samples. In this role, you will be expected to maintain and communicate weekly sample calendars, notify team members and collaborators of upcoming patient samples, changes in sample schedules, sample arrivals, and organize sample pick-up and distribution to key stakeholders and team members. You will be expected to keep up-to-date shared organizational folders, sample tracking, organizing and facilitating sample transfer requests. Competitive candidates should be highly motivated and have a background in biology. You will need to be extremely organized, have strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively in teams and adapt to fast-changing situations. Preference to those who have experience in project management. In the BMTCT department, westrive to perform cutting-edge laboratory and clinical research, particularly in the areas of immunogenetics, cellular therapy, transplant tolerance, immune reconstitution, infection control, and survivorship.In this position, you will collaborate with leaders in cancer and translational research across the institution and department and function as the main contact person to provide communication for patient research sample questions and issues. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
