Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this job is to ensure machinery, facilities and other equipment at Integer's Salem locations are operating efficiently and free of problems. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance for all production equipment. Position also supports basic maintenance, service and repairs to the sites building and grounds. May perform duties within one or more Integer facilities. Successful candidates will have experience in machine maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and be capable of reading blueprints and electrical schematics efficiently.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to Integer's Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and routine inspections on all production machinery and equipment.
  • Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. This includes motors, gearboxes, controls, power supplies, PLC's, hydraulics/pneumatics, and lubrication systems.
  • Coordinate, schedule and assist outside contractors/vendors when necessary.
  • Regularly collaborate and assist Engineering and Site Operation teams to develop robust options for repairs, efficiency, or new equipment/processes.
  • Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, power tools, forklift, cranes and other machinery and tooling as required.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for documentation and reporting for work orders, time tracking, repair records and inventory tracking.
  • Interpret technical drawings, i.e. electrical, Pneumatic, gas, and water, etc. schematics.
  • May perform training of Associates on production equipment.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.
  • Performs other functions as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Associates degree or equivalent trade school certification preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years of maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must possess excellent mechanical and basic electrical knowledge and principles.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration and mechanical systems and solid trouble-shooting skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic & hydraulic pressure systems.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and building automation systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic computer and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment and work with other departments.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
