About the Role As a Purchasing Procurement Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement department's operations and gaining practical experience in procurement processes and supplier management. You will work closely with the procurement team to assist in various tasks and projects, contributing to the organization's overall efficiency and success. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn about procurement practices and develop essential skills for a career in supply chain management. What You Will Do
Data analysis and gathering for a pilot project to define commodity cost models & pricing assumptions as a substitution for supplier quotes to support customer quote turnarounds on pursuits Engineering asset assessment for critical procurement KPIs on components (Best Cost, product lifecycle, component preference, approved sources, scaled pricing) to establish preferred design bulling blocks for reuse in concept design and customer pursuits Interfacing with Project purchasing, engineering, and business units. Support the rollout and system report integration of Source Plans to enable project purchasing to establish governance through the development process Aid in the assessment of production pricing compared to should cost to help define a new process across departments Complete a project plan and final project summary which will be presented to Executive management.
What You Need
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
What is Nice to Have
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Basic knowledge of procurement principles is a plus.

Be willing to work a flexible schedule from home and in an office in Novi, Michigan Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work. Must possess unrestricted work authorization. Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment Must provide full work availability from May 19, 2025 through August 8, 2025 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Pay Transparency Freshman: $19.00 Sophomore: $21.00 Junior: $23.00 Senior: $24.00 Master: $28.00 Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
