Overview

Element is seeking a motivated Associate Test Technician to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge aerospace testing. In this role, you will build and execute diverse test programs that challenge the physical limits of mechanical hardware. From intentionally bursting hydraulic lines to fire-testing fuel pumps and contaminating pneumatic valves, your work will be critical in ensuring the reliability and safety of aerospace components. This position offers a dynamic and engaging environment where no two tests are the same, making it an exciting opportunity for those with a passion for mechanics and problem-solving.

Salary: $25- $35/hr DOE



Responsibilities

    Fabricate and assemble hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems for testing
  • Execute a variety of mechanical hardware tests with precision
  • Capture and log test data using custom data acquisition systems
  • Operate test equipment such as pumps, compressors, blowers, motors, and heaters
  • Collaborate with lab personnel to enhance testing capabilities and facility improvements
  • Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment to ensure smooth operation


Skills / Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (college or vocational coursework preferred). 0-2 years of experience in a testing-related field
  • Basic understanding of mechanical testing concepts
  • Proficiency with computers and data entry
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts is a plus
  • Familiarity with sensors and basic electrical components
  • Experience using a variety of hand and power tools (a personal toolbox with essential tools is required; list provided upon hiring)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with skills in fabrication, machining, or automotive work preferred but not required

Physical Demands:

  • Moderate physical force required
  • Ability to lift <50 lbs frequently often
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
