OVERVIEWS:

The Strategic Account Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with various customer contacts by promoting solutions and services while growing sales and profitability. This position serves as the key point of contact between the customer and multiple internal department contacts within the organization.

Additionally, ensuring that all obligations within a customer contract on met on time by both parties.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Lead and execute quarterly business reviews, driving strategic discussions and action plans for sustained growth.
  • Develop and implement forward-thinking sales strategies to expand, protect, and diversify key customer relationships. Craft and execute a strategic customer growth roadmap, focusing on securing new business awards and deepening customer dependencies.
  • Proactively identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities, driving them to successful closure with a results-driven approach.
  • Engage key customer contacts to initiate contract renewal process and ensure seamless and timely renewals.
  • Proactively monitor competitive activity in each account and ensure appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated
  • Take ownership of issue resolution, and ensuring customers receive high quality customer service.
  • Optimize customer profitability by collaborating with Sales Operations and other departments to implement pricing strategies, approve substitutes, and secure necessary increases. Maintain accurate information for sales pipeline, prospects, customer information and communication logs within the CRM system.
  • Manage key contractual obligations, including but not limited to excess & obsolete inventory, value added/value engineered, cost savings documentation, pricing/material index reviews, inventory reductions, and expense minimization.
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with mid-level client stakeholders while strategically engaging senior executives to expand influence and business opportunities.
  • Support seamless customer implementations and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance long-term customer success.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • B.S. Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of industrial sales experience, with related products and/or related industry.
  • Valid Driver's license and approved driving record.
  • Experience with project management and/or new customer onboarding, a plus.
  • High standard of professionalism and ethics.
  • Ability to analyze complex business situations and develop creative business focused solutions.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills, and formidable negotiating skills.
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and with written communications.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees. Refined persuasion and related sales and presentation skills.

  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and execute in a high-pressure environment.
  • Comfort with and efficient in data analysis, graphs, statistics, percentages and ratios.
  • Travel estimated up to 60%.


Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and, in some instances, may include education, skills, work experience and certifications. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive bonus. An incentive bonus, if any, depends on various factors such as organizational performance.
