Florida Crystals is a leading domestic sugar producer and North America's first fully integrated cane sugar company, guiding our sugar from farm to table. We are America's first and only producer of certified organic sugar, grown and harvested in the United States. Our renewable energy facility is the largest of its kind in North America and provides clean energy that powers our sugar operations, which helps us reduce our use of fossil fuels. Florida Crystals also sustainably farms rice, sweet corn and other vegetables in rotation with our sugarcane. Our rice mill is the only rice mill in Florida.

OVERVIEW

An experienced Enterprise Architect specializing in cloud computing, data centers, collaboration architecture, Office 365, desktop, server hardware, and artificial intelligence (AI). This role is pivotal in shaping the organization's technology landscape and driving digital transformation initiatives. With expertise in cloud infrastructure, AI technologies, collaboration platforms, and enterprise-wide systems, the architect plays a key role in making strategic decisions and optimizing resource utilization. Additionally, this position collaborates across all IT disciplines, including databases, development and monitoring tools, hardware, software, networks, security, collaboration platforms (Office 365), and desktop/server infrastructure, ensuring alignment and efficiency across the entire IT landscape.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Advise functional, technical, and tower leaders on business, information, infrastructure, and cloud platform strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT leaders and architects to align roadmaps with cloud, collaboration, and digital platform capabilities.
  • Understand and evaluate technology products, vendor strategies, and roadmaps.
  • Hold decision-making authority on cloud, platform, and collaboration architecture roadmaps with stakeholders.
  • Define the future-state architecture vision and develop target roadmaps.
  • Ensure technology investments deliver maximum business value.

  • Perform architectural reviews in the demand management process.
  • Ensure project compliance with architecture guidelines and participate in blueprint sessions.
  • Develop and maintain cloud, platform, high availability (HA), collaboration, Office 365, software, and desktop/server hardware architecture for current and future states.
  • Lead innovation initiatives to drive organizational growth and competitiveness.
  • Design and implement collaboration architecture solutions, including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and other communication platforms.
  • Optimize desktop and server hardware infrastructure to support high performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Identify and mitigate architectural risks that could impact business or IT strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with architecture definitions and guidelines.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis for technology investments and architecture decisions.
  • Update and maintain key architecture deliverables.
  • Actively participate in architecture and user group communities to share knowledge and promote best practices.



WORK EXPERIENCES



  • 10+ years of experience in relevant IT functions.
  • Develop and maintain the organization's enterprise architecture.
  • Define and articulate the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap, incorporating cloud, collaboration, and infrastructure.
  • Drive IT functions to innovate through technologies such as databases, development tools, collaboration platforms, server and desktop hardware, and security.
  • Experience with DBMS, operating systems, data structures, networks, security, IT business resumption, server/storage management, data center monitoring, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Office 365 architecture, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration platforms.
  • Expertise in desktop and server hardware architecture, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with IT functions and solution owners to understand needs and future directions influencing the company's technology ecosystem.
  • Stay up-to-date on latest technologies and trends, including cloud, AI, and collaboration platforms.
  • Working knowledge of TOGAF principles for IT architecture.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead implementations of AI initiatives to improve business processes, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to develop and deploy AI solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and assess their potential impact, making informed recommendations to drive innovation.
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect with expertise across cloud, data centers, collaboration platforms, desktop/server hardware, and AI.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, collaboration architecture, server infrastructure, AI frameworks, database structures, development tools, hardware, software, networks, and security.



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications preferred).

    • Thorough understanding of Business processes for a multinational corporation, preferably privately owned
    • Management skill (e.g. prioritization, trade-off analysis, etc.)
    • Able to understand the core functional processes to speak in business terms and drive stakeholders to the outcomes they are seeking. In addition, able to translate these ideal outcomes into what the technology, people, and process need to be.


  • Architecture and modelling capabilities

    • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture and enterprise architecture concepts, frameworks and standards.
    • Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools (e.g. BiZZdesign)
    • Knowledge of Business process notation BPMN and architecture language Archimate
    • Ability to lead process improvement and technology transformation projects


  • Technology capabilities

    • Thorough understanding of Microsoft, AwS and GCP cloud products and services as applied to our companies
    • Large-scale package software experience - with experience in SAP
    • Understanding of automation technologies. E.g. RPA, AI
    • Ability to apply all of the above on a global basis
