Job Summary: As a General Labor/Tagger, you will be responsible for safely handling lumber products and verifying that materials meet customer requirements and company expectations. You will follow instructions to move, secure, and label lumber products, ensuring they are properly stacked, tagged, and prepared for shipment. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Material Handling: Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions. Product Stacking: Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements. Labeling: Label materials based on type, size, and count, and apply individual tags before/after treating/production. Equipment Use: Use a tagging & banding guns and troubleshoot equipment as needed. Bundling and Securing: Band, bundle, and secure materials, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks. Quality Assurance: Follow instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements. Inventory Management: Ensure correct quantities and materials are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area, and maintain accurate inventory of tags. Production Recording: Record production on production sheets. Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area. Team Support: Assist with other work areas by moving material, loading, and unloading material. Safety and Improvement: Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and other programs and meetings. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma/GED preferred but not required. Experience: No minimum experience required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred. Skills: Some forklift operation experience preferred. Working knowledge of basic math preferred. Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
