Inside the Role

At Daimler Truck, our Driver Experience team focuses on the digital on-truck solutions and works hand in hand with design, engineering, and product strategy teams globally. We develop HMI platforms for our Daimler Truck vehicle products and provide innovative HMI solutions to our customers and their drivers across our global brands and markets.

We are seeking a highly motivated Issue Manager for one of our HMI ECUs. Being part of our global development team, you will analyze, track, and prioritize issues to ensure that all defects are resolved on time.

Position offers a starting salary range of$71,000 - $91,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Support the global development of our Daimler Truck HMI ECUs (Instrument Cluster & Infotainment)
  • Manage all global issues and their fixes for our global HMI ECUs
  • Ensure implementation and validation/verification of components with internal and external partners
  • Review and control issue inflow submitted by all global test instances (e.g. vehicle testing)
  • Ensure quality of issue tickets (e.g. availability of logs)
  • Pre-analyze defects
  • Ensure and track issue analysis and issue fixes
  • Support definition of priorities and fixing timeline according to project requirements and release timelines
  • Interact with and coordinate global stakeholders (e.g. test instances, implementation teams, supplier, projects)
  • Report on status for testing and issues incl. risks and mitigation plans on a regular basis
  • Create documentation, reports, presentations

Knowledge You Should Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and prefer 1+ year of relevant experience
  • Software Tools: Jira, Confluence, Cplace, MS Office
  • Background in product testing and issue management inclusive of processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience with engineering commercial vehicles
  • Analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid communication skills and team coordination methods across global teams (considering different cultural backgrounds) especially with the US, Germany, and India
  • Pro-active, self-confident, self-dependent attitude
  • Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change

Exceptional Candidates Might Have:

  • Issue management at Daimler Truck or a global automotive/commercial vehicle company
