Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting Safety, Quality, Operations and management to ensure compliance with the Quality, Graniterock Safety & Health Programs, ensuring alignment with Graniterock's Strategic Priorities and business objectives.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  1. Comply, understand, and promote corporate and division safety initiatives to ensure "Safety Before All Else."

  2. Document all safety subjects such as training, inspections, team member setup and removal and observations utilizing HCSS and other appropriate means.

  3. Create and distribute reports for Safety and Quality teams by accessing and utilizing existing data sources.

  4. Coordinate training for existing team members and/or new hires. This will include initial new hire training, New Miner training, SafeStart, Click Safety, quality certifications, and Workplace Violence training.

  5. Assist the Fleet Safety manager with administration of Samba Safety.

  6. Administration of new hire and existing team members as it relates to license pull authorization and safe work practice acknowledgements.

  7. With direction from the Quality Managers, maintain and update Lab Quality Manuals as needed.

  8. Promote safety awareness by developing and distributing, reports, memorandums, safety bulletins, safety alerts and specific task training programs.

Education and Work Experience

  • High School Diploma, or related equivalent, relevant work experience.

  • 2 years of experience working in Tableau, J.D. Edwards, H.C.S.S, preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Proficient in reading and speaking Spanish is desirable

* Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and personal information of Team Members

* Ability to cultivate trusting, professional, and respectful relationships with all Team Members

* Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

* Knowledge of J.D. Edwards, HCSS, Crystal, Tableau Prep etc. desired

* General knowledge of Cal/OSHA, MSHA, DOT regulations

* Knowledge of construction Safe Work Practices

* Strong written and oral communication skills, both English and Spanish desirable

* Ability to meet deadlines and work with a sense of urgency

* Leadership skills to promote and influence a positive work environment

* Ability to work weekends and outside of regular business hours, as needed

* Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
