Strategic Sourcing Analyst

The Lippert Corporate Aftermarket team is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Analyst for the marine industry to add to their team to assist in international vendor and materials sourcing.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with cross-functional teams leading collaboration and adoption of Lippert Vendor Compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Purchasing to drive the process in adding new Lippert products into the database
  • Oversees sourcing for daily commodities, raw materials for manufacturing at plant 115, and all Aftermarket finished goods for Marine division.
  • Regular evaluation of current supply base; presentation of performance on a regular cadence to leadership. Suggests changes to supply base when needed.
  • Responsible for all sample status tracking; coordination with product team for efficient evaluation. Timely communication to vendor base with feedback.
  • Manage the vendor's quality and on-time delivery
  • Tracks and reports to leadership sourcing cost savings and PPV. Develop a regular cadence for report out to leadership.
  • Identifies multiple top-quality sources for top purchased raw materials and commodities; present to multiple levels of leadership in the organization.
  • Collaborates with Quality to qualify incoming products.
  • Understands product applications and their respective quality requirements
  • Pays attention to detail and can communicate clearly, precisely, and effectively

Qualifications

  • BS is recommended but not required. Historical working career background will be considered.
  • 3-5 years relevant sourcing experience preferred.
  • Product Development, Retail and or Merchandising background a plus
  • Marine products/ industry background is preferred.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft based software utilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; able to build pivot tables and other necessary documents for regular reporting cadence.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • College Degree (Associates or Bachelors)
  • Sourcing, buying, or sales experience
  • Demonstrated relationship building with key internal teams

Travel

Travel independently, domestically as well as globally up to 10% of time, weekend and overnight possible.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • International Private Label Product Development experience is preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
