Join us as our new Quality Control Technician

We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Quality Control team in Salem, Virginia. As a Quality Control Technician, you will utilize your keen attention to detail and advanced microbial techniques to identify and prevent potential contaminants. Your work will ensure that every product meets our stringent quality standards, maintaining our reputation for delivering superior, safe, and effective microbial products. This role offers you the opportunity to be at the forefront of quality assurance, where your contributions are essential to our mission of achieving and surpassing industry benchmarks for product excellence.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Conducting routine screening of biological products using state-of-the-art microbial techniques

  • Performing detailed analysis and documentation of analysis to ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and promptly resolve any potential quality issues

  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results

  • Adhering to all laboratory safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

  • Calculating and recording accurate data using the company's LIMS and SAP systems

  • Demonstrating initiative in taking on responsibilities that contribute to the Quality, Safety and Environmental policies at the site

To succeed you must hold:

  • A bachelor's degree in microbiology or related field with a strong track record

  • A strong understanding of molecular biology with an exceptional focus on customer service

  • Experience with HPLC is a preferred

  • Experience with LIMS, JMP and/or MS Apps is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment

  • A strong problem-solving skillset with working knowledge of LEAN principles preferred

  • Mainstream computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, MS Apps) are essential

Expected salary range: $50,000-$55,000
