Marketing Manager
Apply Online The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading marketing strategies for Tyler's state market. Responsibilities include leading the creation of comprehensive campaigns and execution of marketing tactics for eight states to meet business objectives, generate new sales leads for the organization and retain contracts. Collaboration with various marketing shared service functions, as well as sales and other division leadership, is important to the Marketing Manager's ability to succeed. The Marketing Manager will have a significant impact on the sales and marketing success of the State and Federal Group by managing the marketing campaigns delivered by the marketing department. Prospects, clients, investors, partners, and sales all benefit from these projects, primarily because information will be made available in a proactive, industry-appropriate, creative, and timely manner. Professionally executed marketing projects help drive revenue and raise the profile of the company by projecting a positive and polished corporate and product image. As a part of Tyler's corporate staff, you will make an impact on outcomes that affect various areas of the company. Your work will ultimately support our team members, clients, stakeholders, and the public sector.

Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of multi-faceted marketing projects and campaigns, including multimedia direct marketing, advertising programs, development of content, and trade shows
- Determine the appropriate marketing tactics to execute on strategic marketing goals and sales needs as outlined by executive leadership, sales leadership, and marketing leadership
- Develop innovative ways to communicate marketing messages
- Collaborate closely with corporate marketing shared services departments, such as brand management and campaign management, to manage the production and execution of marketing projects and campaigns
- Analyze metrics and results from marketing programs and provide ROI reports to marketing leadership
- Maintain brand standards in all aspects of marketing projects
- Ensure marketing messaging is consistent and drives the key messages in an impactful way
- Oversee marketing staff as applicable
- Aid in the continuing development of staff members and provide ongoing guidance, training, and direction in achieving the team and company objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable work experience
- At least 8 years of marketing experience
- Strong writing skills and the ability to generate impactful marketing messages, demonstrated through writing samples and references
- Experience effectively managing a variety of marketing projects and timelines
- Experience managing a variety of direct marketing, video, advertising, collateral creation, and web content projects
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and especially PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of AP style
- An excellent understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
- A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectations
- Experience in a leadership or management role preferred
- Technology/software industry and public sector experience preferred
- Trade show and or user conference experience preferred
The Marketing Manager must be able to:
- Develop new campaign plans and materials as required to meet vertical priorities and reach strategic goals
- Manage competing priorities to deliver programs that align with objectives
- Effectively manage multiple concurrent marketing programs and campaigns across multiple product lines
- Market distinct product lines across distinct audiences in our target markets; align with other Tyler divisions and verticals to ensure message consistency when product lines cross the same audiences
- Understand and convey division messages and objectives in all sales and marketing collateral
- Understand client needs and be able to incorporate a client perspective into communications
- Effectively work with subject matter experts across the vertical's various departments
- Research, organize, and express information in a well-written format
- Establish priorities and meet deadlines, in conjunction with those set forth by senior marketing leadership
- Handle multiple tasks while paying close attention to details
- Stay abreast of industry and marketing best practices, trends, ideas, tools, and technology, as well as internal software development initiatives
- Effectively lead others to accomplish goals/objectives and coach, mentor, and develop team members
