Job Summary

Responsible for leading the creation, coordination, and implementation of strategic plans, campaigns, and initiatives to ensure that donors and prospective donors experience high-quality intentional interactions that foster long-term engagement and investment. Creates and executes unique and impactful stewardship and recognition opportunities and communications through various vehicles and formats to demonstrate the value and impact of philanthropic investment, increasing revenue and enhancing philanthropic relationships. Plans, coordinates, and executes donor recognition and stewardship events and activities, interfacing with high-level donors and volunteers to strengthen their relationships.

Essential Functions

  • Manage the strategic identification, development, execution of donor recognition opportunities, including facility and other namings, recognition walls, plaques and awards, and other opportunities, ensuring internal alignment, equity, and appropriateness while strengthening the culture of philanthropy at Prisma Health-Upstate. Maintain and update installed donor recognition as needed and maintain. an inventory of naming/recognition opportunities (available and secured) and gift thresholds.

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of stewardship events, including awards presentations, groundbreakings, donor recognition reveals and ribbon cuttings, and the annual Legacy Society Luncheon.

  • Manage the Legacy Society, Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation's giving society for planned giving and endowment donors, executing meaningful touchpoints and events throughout the year.

  • Manage the annual endowment reporting process, creating content and designing individual reports and associated collateral, list management, and distribution.

  • Collaborate with Foundation teammates on stewardship communications (print, web, video), including impact reports and donor stories. Coordinate with Prisma Health Media Relations on gift and other stewardship related announcements.

  • Manage annual awards and other recognitions for donors, clinical partners, and volunteers.

  • Develop and update the Foundation's naming policy and other policies related to donor recognition; ensure adherence to brand and other standards.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor's degree

  • Experience - Eight (8) years donor relations, fundraising, alumni relations, marketing/communications, sales or related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written communication and design skills, including media releases, impact reports, donor acknowledgements, donor stories, scripts, etc., and ability to communicate effectively verbally, including compiling and presenting information to individuals and groups. Ability to garner information from multiple sources and produce accurate work.

  • In-depth knowledge of the role of all fundraising programs and activities as they function individually and collectively to meet system and donor expectations. Ability to garner information from multiple sources and produce accurate work Curiosity and interest in continuous learning with a focus on donor recognition and stewardship/best practices.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines. Resourcefulness, flexibility, and tenacity to meet individual and team goals. Ability to work effectively in a large, complex, and dynamic organization and adapt to change.
