Quality Assurance Inspector II - Machined Core (2nd Shift)

As aQuality Assurance Inspector IIyou will inspect products at various stages of the production process. You will compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

Currently there areopenings for full-timeQuality Assurance Inspector IIin ourMachined Coredivision on 2ndshift.

2nd shift would be Monday - Friday 2:30PM to 10:30PM. TRAINING WILL BE REQUIRED ON 1st SHIFT: 6:30AM to 2:30PM.

Quality Assurance Inspector II:Starting at $23.29 per hour on 2ndshift.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Inspect in-process materials.
  • Inspect finished goods.
  • Maintain records and samples according to procedures.
  • Complete necessary quality assurance forms to ensure control of accepted and rejected products tested including reject tags, and certifications.
  • Certify core material for customer qualification and acceptance programs.
  • Perform internal audits and over-the-shoulder inspections.
  • Pre-approval and inspection of incoming process materials.
  • Documentation of scrap in the core department.
  • Coordinate work in conjunction with manufacturing and sales to ensure product is inspected in a timely fashion.
  • Conduct on-the-job training for operators in the use of measuring tools, manufacturing processes, manufacturing instructions, department duties, and print reading.
  • Review and document quality requirements on all new work orders.
  • Work with Customer Service on issues of customer complaints, waivers for non-conforming process materials and returned goods.
  • Conduct prototype testing to evaluate product performance. Coordinate testing with Plascore Laboratories.
  • Occasional visits to vendor or customer locations to participate in problem solving or defining quality requirements.
  • Review manufacturing instructions and process specifications for approval.
  • Complete requirements and obtain certifications for Customer Designated Quality Representative/Inspector. Inspect parts on behalf of customer.
  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods.
  • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
  • Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a quality leadership role.
  • Candidate must be able to pass corrected or uncorrected vision testing (20/30, Jaeger #2 Colorblindness, etc.)



Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of progressively more responsibility in quality and manufacturing experience required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to workovertime.



Additional Requirements:



  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
