Position Summary

As a key leader within the Talent Acquisition (TA) function, the Director of Talent Acquisition will play a crucial role in shaping the future of gaming at Light & Wonder by driving the company's candidate-centric talent acquisition strategy. This role manages L&W's Gaming division's talent acquisition efforts, aligning recruitment initiatives with organizational goals to ensure excellence in talent attraction and recruitment processes. This role requires close collaboration with executive leadership, hiring teams, and HR business partners to understand talent needs and provide actionable guidance on recruitment practices that support company culture and objectives. The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the talent acquisition function for Gaming, setting performance goals, managing escalations, and fostering team development to drive a high-performance environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • With a global team, drive Light & Wonder's talent acquisition strategy, aligning it with organizational objectives to achieve excellence across talent attraction, contingent workforce management, global mobility, and recruitment efforts.

  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership, hiring teams, and HR business partners to understand talent needs and provide strategic guidance on recruitment practices that support company goals and culture.

  • Manage simultaneously technical and non-technical recruitment that range from software and hardware engineers, mathematicians and artists to sales, production and field service technicians.

  • Lead and manage the talent acquisition function, overseeing daily operations, setting performance objectives, addressing escalations, and fostering team development and growth.

  • Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies and campaigns to attract top talent in a competitive market, including leveraging digital and social media channels to enhance the employer brand.

  • Optimize the candidate experience, ensuring clear, consistent communication from initial contact through to onboarding.

  • In collaboration with Talent Enablement, deliver recruitment metrics and reports to senior leadership, analyzing data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and implement improvements to drive better outcomes.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, technological innovations, and best practices in recruitment, talent attraction, marketing, contingent workforce management, and global mobility. Integrate cutting-edge strategies to continuously improve results.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the broader goals of the talent acquisition function and the organization.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in talent acquisition, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity.

  • Proven experience leading global teams or overseeing talent acquisition functions across multiple regions.

  • Proven experience transforming talent acquisition teams from a less mature state to more mature with best practices.

  • Expertise in designing and refining outstanding candidate experiences that attract top talent and align with company culture.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of coaching and developing recruitment teams to drive high performance.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align talent acquisition initiatives with organizational goals, including workforce planning, talent strategy development, and contingent workforce management.

  • Proficiency in Workday Recruiting and other recruiting technologies to streamline and optimize hiring processes.

  • Deep understanding of current recruitment trends, best practices, and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to executive leadership and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment.

Work Conditions:

  • May require weekend and evening hours.

  • Based in Las Vegas with 10% travel.
