FTE: 0.6 _, Shift: Evening_, Schedule: Part time evenings with rotating weekends Position Summary The Microbiology Processor will be responsible for receipt, processing and storage of specimens. This includes centrifugation, separation, refrigeration, labeling, making & staining smears, planting specimens to culture media and storage of samples. This is a staff level position working under direct supervision. Work situations are routine laboratory functions requiring a commitment toward customer service, attention to detail, organization, and prioritization. Internal contacts may include patient care staff throughout MHS. External contacts are limited but may include physicians and patients.
