Fellow (Post Doc)

The Department of Agronomy at Kanas State University is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support research in controlled environments and field conditions, and through use of process-based crop growth models. Candidate will design and conduct experiments that evaluate the impacts of various environmental factors and production methods on crop yield and nutritional quality of grain crops

This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Agronomy, Crop Science or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience conducting field experiments, relevant field instrumentation and laboratory analytical equipment.
• Demonstrated experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Skilled in managing process-based crop models for growth and development.
• Knowledge and experience with data management and the use of relevant statistical software such as R, Python, GIS software.
• Demonstrated ability to work alone and in a multi-disciplinary team comprising staff as well as graduate and undergraduate students.
• Demonstrated interest and ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals on aspects related to the project.
