Our company is in need of a talented Communications & Social Media Specialist. This position will be responsible for developing and editing communication materials, including but not limited to website and social media content, marketing material, recruiting advertisements, company newsletters, internal and external communications, and more. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who has a high level of creativity, flexibility, and commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
Job Responsibilities
- Create, edit, design, and publish content for various communication platforms while closely collaborating with senior management, department and project teams.
- Manage all aspects of social media from concept to completion by gathering information, scheduling content, and creating a robust strategic plan.
- Maintain the company brand and image.
- Partner with our internal media services team to identify engaging and relevant graphics and photography that helps bring your work to life.
- Identify key communication platforms.
- Digitally archive all work product for future on-demand purposes.
- Assist with additional projects, such as award submissions and the maintenance of corporate/company-wide documents.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Strong creative writing skills and concept development.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or 3+ years of experience with creative, content, or copy writing in a professional setting.
- Ability to condense and organize complex information into meaningful communications.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strict adherence to company policies and style.
- Proven cross-group collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and eager learner, desire to grow and develop within the field.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Preferred knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Photoshop.
- Experience writing in the construction industry a plus.
