The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $151140 - $200318.8 Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our plant controlling function. As a Senior Plant Controller, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Senior Plant Controller will oversee the financial operations for a value stream within the manufacturing organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, planning, analysis, optimal financial performance, and compliance with financial policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Key leader, providing financial leadership, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial-related information for a Value Stream
- Prepare timely month-end and quarterly reports, analyze monthly financial statements, including variance analysis, and present findings to management
- Identify and evaluate business drivers, KPIs, and trends to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing insights for improvement, driving planning accuracy, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals for multiple highly complex and vertically integrated Value Streams
- Partner with value stream leader to drive financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial outcomes
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance drivers, providing actionable insights to Value Stream leader
- Drive operational excellence for manufacturing financial processes, including cost accounting and analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing performance and risk reporting
- Drive working capital and free cash flow improvement with ad-hoc plans on inventory reduction and managing capital expenditures budget and process
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
- Lead process improvement and cost-saving initiatives and optimize resource allocation to protect and increase the company's profitability
- Develop financial modeling for business strategies and plans, including capital expenditure viability and Production Operations business transition activities
- Identify and mitigate business risks and organization blind spots to curb inefficiencies
- Lead and mentor other finance professionals
- Work with the Corporate Strategy team to implement strategic initiatives that align with key market and economic indicators
- Work collaboratively with Product Development on developing financial modeling for production rearrangement, creation of new products, and business transition activities
What you'll Need To Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years progressive work experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, and/or Commercial Finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with at least 7+ years of leadership experience
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software
- Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Business Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights for operational improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information
- Capability to lead finance teams and influence decision-making at the management level.
- Successfully supervise, guide, and coach team members
- Strong critical thinking skills to identify problems and develop solutions in a manufacturing context
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis
Preferred:
- MBA degree
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Accountant (CFA)
- Oracle ERP Proficiency with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM Cloud, and other accounting software used by the organization
- Experience with a mix of financial and cost accounting, FP&A, and business systems analysis experience supporting financial environments and a good understanding of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
