Position Summary

The Print Supervisor is responsible for supervising all print room activity including but not limited to personnel, inventory control of print room items and quality of product being printed, maintaining operational practices to improve efficiency in the print room.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.




  • Print Operator for Konica Minolta 1200 (Black & White)
  • Print Operator for Konica Minolta C7000 (Color)
  • Trouble shoot both Konica Minolta 1200 (Black & White) and C7000 (Color)
  • Utility counts and billing discrepancies
  • Calibration of both Konica Minolta 1200 (Black & White) and C7000 (Color)
  • Schedule all/any maintenance and/or service needed on printers
  • Inventory and order toner for printers
  • Inventory paper (familiarized with all types and sizes), and all materials associated with printed materials
  • Print and assemble multiple page booklets (for inventory as well)
  • Print Labels (i.e. 30-up, 10-up, 6-up, 4-up, 2-up)
  • Print shipping labels/Kit labels and troubleshoot kit contents on labels vs kits
  • Process and scan data (oversee scanning of scantrons/template building)
  • Scan/save physical thank you cards returned by teachers/students for Sales/Graphic Design
  • Print, process, and assemble Literature Requests for sales samples
  • Use of software solutions to number items for print
  • Operate bindery equipment including paper cutters and folders
  • Short run of scantrons (Easy Savings), Parent Comment Cards, Wristband Postcards, etc. for in-house inventory
  • Update and track all logs (Printer Error Logs, Processed Sales Order Logs, etc)
  • Check RAP APP for teacher: student ratios for planning teacher folder builds and ordering paper supplies
  • Printing Sales Orders and organizing printing schedules- manage Sales Order Queue
  • Supervising print personnel including hiring, reviewing and scheduling
  • Communicate to department managers information that is necessary for them to properly manage their job functions as it relates to the production of inventory items lit requests and sales orders
  • Ultimate responsibility of anything going in and out of print department



Position Requirements

Education



  • High School Diploma/GED required


Work Experience



  • Previous administrative experience
  • Previous print room experience preferred
  • Bindery experience a plus

  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must be organized, self-motivated and able to multitask
  • Takes great pride and ownership in the work produced
  • Be creative and introduce new thinking and concepts to projects
  • Independent work style, ability to plan and execute with little direction, creative problem-solving skills and initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
  • Basic knowledge of general office procedures



Licenses & Certifications



  • Valid driver's license
