*Job Title:* Lead Cabling Technician
*Location*: Wilmington, NC *Job Type:* Full-time, 7-month contract (with potential for extension) *Job Description:* TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cabling Technician for one of our clients in Wilmington, NC. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems for a large commercial space of approximately one million square feet, supporting Amazon Robotics. This role requires a strong understanding of cabling standards, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. *Responsibilities:* * Lead and supervise a team of cabling technicians. * Install, terminate, and test various types of cabling including fiber optics, CAT5e, CAT6, and coaxial. * Ensure all installations meet industry standards and customer specifications. * Perform site surveys and provide accurate project estimates. * Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues. * Maintain accurate documentation of installations and repairs. * Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion. * Adhere to safety protocols and company policies. * Lead a team in pulling and installing cables efficiently and safely. *Requirements:* * Prior experience leading commercial cabling projects. * Strong knowledge of cabling standards and best practices. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. * Excellent problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, RCDD) are a plus. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
