OVERVIEW

The Operator is responsible for learning all aspects of the production operation such as loading/unloading bulk sugar, melt processing, and packaging by performing the following duties.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for equipment start up and observation of possible malfunctions
  • Reports malfunctions to supervisor and makes minor adjustments or repairs (i.e. opening valves)
  • Executebulk load/unloading and packaging processes according to process/procedure
  • Performs quality control in accordance to standardized process/procedure
  • completes all necessary paperwork according to process/procedure
  • Replenishes packaging supplies as necessary
  • Open to cross-functional training in all areas of operation
  • Participates in customer/federal audits as assigned
  • All other duties as assigned



WORK EXPERIENCES



  • Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing or similar industry required
  • Prior experience troubleshooting equipment strongly preferred
  • Prior experience operating a forklift preferred



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required



ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)



  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written English communication skills
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays and weekends as required



HOURLY RATE: $20.93+/hour
