GALLO, the largest family-owned winery in the world, is seeking a dynamic Director of Category Development to join our team. In this role, you will drive profitable share growth of GALLO products within assigned customer accounts, contributing to the creation and execution of category development strategies. You will collaborate closely with our DRIVE team, including Commerce Marketing, to ensure the seamless implementation of best practices and the expansion of our product portfolio. As the Director of Category Development, you will oversee all category development activities, including the development of plan-o-gram designs that support chain account customers in achieving their business goals. You will lead your team in applying best practice philosophies and methodologies, ensuring open communication channels internally and externally. Utilizing industry-leading technology, consumer insight data, and account transactional data, you will strategically recommend analysis and business development opportunities to our chain customers. Your role will also involve managing the development and implementation of scorecards to monitor progress against goals, and developing strategies to maximize promotional effectiveness for GALLO products. You will assess market conditions and activate thought leadership and supporting tools for category development, providing direct and ongoing feedback to corporate leadership. With a strong emphasis on leadership, you will develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures, participate in cross-functional planning and management teams, and maintain adherence to operating budgets. You will support the commercialization of digital marketing programs and leverage digital assets, identifying opportunities to grow GALLO business across various platforms. Your ability to make sound business decisions, optimize resource allocation, and drive an innovative culture will be crucial to your success. As a GALLO Ambassador, you will advocate for our brands and promote Gallo sales within your community. You will embrace continuous improvement across Customer Development Standards of Performance, possess problem-solving abilities, and ensure compliance with all regulatory considerations.
