Overview
Responsibilities Underwriting - Evaluates credit applications according to applicable regulations, FCB credit standards, procedures, and guidelines. Assesses personal and business financial statements to determine risk and creditworthiness. Conducts detailed cash flow analysis. Completes written credit memorandum detailing risks, mitigants, and sources of repayment. Identifies exceptions to credit standards and assigns risk ratings. Risk Management - Identifies credit and other risks during initial underwriting of loan requests. Works closely with Bank associates and partners to resolve risk issues. Participates in periodic portfolio reviews and client discussions to identify and manage emerging risks affecting borrowers' repayment ability. Business Support - Assists sales team with preliminary screening of opportunities. Resolves inquiries on underwriting and denial compliance. Drives efficiency in credit approval, loan documentation, and closing processes Mentoring - Guides less experienced underwriters in credit analysis and process. Reviews credit memoranda for errors and opportunities for improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in consumer or commercial underwriting.
