Job Summary
Half-time Research Scientist/Lab Manager position
A half-time position is available for a candidate with a strong background in molecular and cell
biology. The Shindo lab studies the mechanisms of intracellular transport and organization in
development and disease. The successful candidate will lead cell biological projects using
mammalian tissue culture cells. They will also contribute to student supervision and laboratory
management.
Responsibilities
Cell biology projects using mammalian tissue culture cells.
Technical support for the laboratories.
Lab management-related duties
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience

Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in Molecular Biology and/or Cell Biology
At least 3 years of research experience
At least 1 first author publication and 1 co-author publication
Experience in mammalian tissue culture, transfection with viral and non-viral vectors, and
stable cell line generation
Experience in molecular biology and cell biology techniques, including cloning, WB,
immunofluorescence, and confocal microscopy
