Responsibilities
The Oaks outpatient programs incorporate a range of services to adolescents, adults and seniors, including; physician oversight, medication management, group therapy practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and clinical assistance tailored to help our clients achieve their treatment goals. Offering premiere behavioral health services for individuals experiencing psychiatric and /or substance abuse symptoms that negatively affect daily functioning. Website: https://heritageoakshospital.com/ The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who provides case managements services through coordination and evaluation of patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. The Utilization Review (UR) staff is responsible for managing, reviewing, and monitoring the utilization ofresources related to the patient and to maximize effectiveness of care by evaluating clinical appropriateness. This position is responsible for both UR and RN functions within the department.

Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited program ofprofessional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Preferred Experience: A minimum ofthree (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility. 1 year ofthis experience needs to be directly within a UR capacity, which includes direct contact with external review organizations, to include payor sources, and functioning as a liaison between business and the clinical treatment team. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the California State Board of Nursing. Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) training (provided in-house), including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.
